i’m a pens fan, but weegar has consistently been the best defensemen in the league (imo) and i think huberdaeu or however you spelled it has had a better season
Good job giving away Sam Bennett and Ryan lomberg and Matthew tkachuk
Joe Nieuwendyk was my favorite player growing up! GFG!!
Dolo speaks English?!
We need this kid in a Flames uni. I would love if Jarome gave Tij his blessing to wear number 12. (I know it’s retired, it’s been done in other sports before)
Enjoy the oilers game tomorrow night😂
I have to stop watching this. Or not. 😍
I’ve never gotten into hockey before. However, I love watching this show. This show has now got me watching hockey. Keep making this show, please!! Give your balls a tug, tit f#cker!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Well we know who Calgary is gonna pick now
I don’t know?
Was it a better deal at the trade deadline? Not a Great trade . You needed that 10 th over all.
Wolf is good but you cant stop a puck you cant see wolf is 160lbs to skinny and to short in this day and age. Other bigger goalies stop pucks they cant see because of there size. Unfortanetly not Wolf.
This is part of the rebuild!!
Sooo gutted Andrew didn't answer with 'It's been unbelievable' 🤣🤣
or tell someone to "settle down"
Dude's looking them in the eyes. Borderline cocky but never crosses that line. Very polished. I think this kid will be a stud. Apparently, lots of scouts fell in love with him at the combine.
Kevin Bahl is absolutely a gift for Dustin Wolf to get some defensive help. You can't trade away all your best defenseman and expect a 23 year old goalie to save everything
Ladies and Gentlemen, Today, I want to talk about a rivalry that has defined our great province of Alberta for decades: the storied battle between the Edmonton Oilers and the Calgary Flames. These two teams have given us unforgettable moments, thrilling games, and fierce competition. However, for too long, we have viewed this time-honored rivalry through a lens of animosity, each side entrenched in their loyalty, often with a sense of disdain for the other. But what if we looked at it differently? What if we saw these battles not as a reason for division, but as a source of strength and unity? Imagine the power and potential if we embraced the fierce competition between the Oilers and the Flames as a way to uplift and improve one another. Because in the end, whether we cheer for the Oilers or the Flames, we are all Albertans. When our teams clash on the ice, it's more than just a game. It’s an opportunity to push each other to greater heights, to showcase the best of Alberta’s spirit and talent. We need to recognize that this rivalry, when viewed through the lens of respect and camaraderie, can make both teams stronger and more competitive. By supporting each other, we can forge a bond that transcends the rink and unites us in our shared love for hockey. Let's remember that the ultimate goal is not just winning games, but achieving something truly legendary. We want to bring home the most difficult trophy to win in the world: the Stanley Cup. We aspire to create a once-in-a-lifetime story, a record of resilience and depth that only one other team in history has managed to achieve. This pursuit is not just about the teams, but about a sense of pride and camaraderie that resonates with every Albertan. So today, let’s put aside our differences and come together as one. Let’s support our hardworking teams with a cheer so loud that it echoes all the way to Texas. Let’s show the world that we are more than just Oilers fans or Flames fans - we are Albertans. United by our passion for hockey, driven by our desire to see our teams succeed, and bound by our respect for each other. Together, we can make history. Together, we can bring the Stanley Cup back to Alberta. Together, we can show the world the true strength of our province. We are ALBERTANS! Thank you.
Going to need much better D with undersized Wolf. That's just a fact
whata the condition on the first round '25 pick
Dont wNt to kill the mood but wolf is to short i have way more faith in vladar.GO FLAMES GO.KEEP THE FAITH
Saros is 5'11" and seems to be just fine. Wolf is a great positional goalie at 6ft.
@@gallant00 good point.Just saying I watch every game and I feel like vladar is better
Wow, there has been shorter goaltenders forever. They play a different style than 6'6 markstrom and they need to be more athletic. Don't just assume the bigger the goalie the better they are. 6 feet is plenty tall enough. If you watched Wolf play this season and in the AHL he is way more talented than Vladar
@@mitchell6092 Keyword AHL.When he got his shot to play in the NHL he underperformed.Vladar was way better
@@s-tr8wt Wow, like can you give a 22 year old GOALIE any breathing room or is he a complete bust in your mind
he seems tired lol
up next drafting Iggy!
I hate to say it but perhaps Conroy is over his head
Conroy knows what he’s doing he’s got a solid game plan for us in the next few years ! IN CONNY WE TRUST
In Conny we trust 💪🏼🔥
Only if we could somehow dump the huber contract. Send him to toronto since treliving will overpay for anyone
Been watching Bahl develop for the last years. I think Flames fans will be very happy with him. Young, strong, big, puck moving defenceman and he can skate. Nice move considering Markstrom didn't event want to be there .
Do the first thing the flames haven’t done in a very long time, Connie. Let’s rebuild! Pick well and we could be a playoff team in a couple years! Good mix of old and young (and trying to fix what Tre effed up)
Not a “couple” but 4-6 years
Johnathan Huberdont
wtf are you doing Craig why give up Markie if you still have to pay 31% of his salary ,your 25 pick is conditional i mean really ??????????????????????????????????????????????
Wiat til you see how good Bahl is. Your going to be happily surprised.
34 year old goalie with an NMC and wasn’t happy here. 1st round pick and a young promising defensemen is great deal. Calgary has tons of cap space so retaining isn’t a big deal
10 percent they don't have to pay his July 1 bonus.
That’s what you do to get more draft picks and young talent. Exactly where the flames are at, they should have done this 3 years ago
Traded hanifin, tanev, Lindholm, zadirov, markstrom and not 1 blue chip prospect in return. Eeeshhh. On the positive side there are some high end prospects in the next 2 drafts
So what happens if the pick is in the top 10? Do we get nothing then?
They'll get a 2026 unprotected 1st rounder instead.
Correct!!! It’s Top 10 protected. You have been fleeced by Tommy Fleecegerald!
You can't send Wolf to the minors again, unless you don't consider him a starter in that case trade him. Two reasons why you can't send him down, first off he's not developing there anymore, he's dominated that league. Secondly he will ask for a trade, he's done nothing but win in the minors, I don't think he will it take it very well if you send him there again. Only acceptable reason is he is getting absolutely dominated in the NHL.
Wolf will be just fine, I pretty sure confidence won't be a problem. He will continue to progress as time goes on
Conroy looks like he hasn't slept since 04.
Neither have I. That pick was in. Bettman owes us one
Now time will tell if the damage Markstrom did to the Flames was on purpose.
Gonna miss Marky , but Wolf needs more playing time. I hope the Flames can pick up a smaller , veteran goalie who’s had success in his career. I’ve said all along , that would be a better mentor for Wolf. He needs to learn how to be successful as a smaller goalie , and a smaller goalie has a better chance to teach him that. Also happy to get a big , young defenceman in Bahl , and another first round pick. Decent trade.
I mean silvos and skinner are young and have both been utter studs for their teams when needed. Don't count Wolfie out yet
Keep it going, Craig. In Conroy we trust ✊🔥💯
I gotta say not the biggest Conroy fan but he has done a nice job so far for you guys.
huge W atleast calgary seems to be headed in a clear direction now let’s rebuild and have a young crop of potential stars in the system by the time the arena opens
no Craig says retool lol the lying sob.wE'LL WAITE NOW ANOTHER 25 YEARS FOR A GOALIE AGAIN.
I'm a bit jealous you guys got Bahl, big fan of that guys potential. He is legit.
@@franklininterviewsvancouve8605 that’s what Jersey fans said about Sharangovich and he’s been a stud for the Flames
Yeah, trading a starting goalie 2 month later because the team who everyone knew was not making the playoffs still thought they were and then losing a way better prospect and instead of picking 10-15 this year picking 20-25 next year is a massive win, lol😂 Conroy and Edwards butchered this and other then getting snarky Conroy has lost every trade since
@@dionmorray5933yeah that was really stupid how they handled that, he shoulda been gone during the season. atleast we’re gonna stink tho for the next foreseeable future that’s a good thing. and the lindholm deal wasn’t a loss of a trade. he’s had many meh trades but wouldn’t say he’s lost every single one
Sad return for Marky...
Totally...not a bad return. Grow up
Balh is under the radar, still young. But make no mistake he is legit. Very nice pick up by CGY.
When was the last time a 34 year old goalie got a first round pick ? Never less a good prospect. What do you think he's worth when he holds all the cards
@randyorton935 the last time it happened was in an alternate universe where 34 plus is the prime of your career.
Marky lets in weak game changing/momentum shifting goals. We get a big young defensemen that’s going to play PK and a 1st rounder, how is that bad for a team rebuilding?
CONGRATULATIONS. WELCOME TO CALGARY. GOOD LUCK. MAKE US PROUD. GO FLAMES. CALGARY ALL THE WAY. . 🏒🏒🏒🔥🔥🏒🏒🏒🔥🔥🏒🏒🏒🔥🔥🏒🏒🏒
MTL will scoop him at 5 😏
You might be right which means the flames have to make a trade with either Anaheim or Columbus to move up.
That’s my guy! Let’s Go Kwame!
Love Baks! We are lucky to have him. Great player, good man. And his kids are absolutely adorable. 🔥
He look like he' will get full beard some day
There's a very good chance habs grab him. It's not plan A but it would still be great.
My goat
Happy late birthday
He acts very chill and relaxed in front of the media. Seems like he has a high level of confidence which is good.
He really made fun of reporters 😄
This guy really is so good
